Mentors Make a Difference!
A Future Link Mentor is a caring and responsible volunteer who serves as a trusted guide to a college-aged student as they navigate their academic and early career path. They help to ensure that the student develops important academic and life skills, explores a wide range of opportunities, takes advantage of the vast array of Future Link and other resources, makes positive life choices and stays on track to complete the necessary education/training to achieve their career goal.
Working one-on-one with a student, you will partner with them to work through their challenges and identify solutions and processes to keep them on-track. It requires effort, patience, determination, honesty, and empathy. The impact can be life changing . . . for both you and your Mentee!
The Future Link Mentor Program requires a minimum one-year commitment, meeting weekly. In addition, Mentors must be 30+ years of age, live or work in Montgomery County, and have at least five years of work experience in your career field.
All information on this application is kept confidential. Only your name, email address, phone number, career field, and employer are shared with Mentees. We look forward to your participation!
