Assistant Director, Career Services and Partnerships
Job Type: Full-Time, Hybrid
Future Link is seeking an experienced, mission-driven professional to lead and expand our successful Career Coaching Program. This role is responsible for developing corporate partnerships, establishing and maintaining our paid internships network, and managing student and volunteer programming. This is a leadership role with both strategic and hands-on responsibilities.
Location: Montgomery County, MD (hybrid)
Transportation: Car and Valid Driver’s License Required (Free Parking provided)

Salary Range: $74,000– $83,000 + Benefits
Responsibilities:
1. Career Coaching Program Management
- Lead the implementation, future vision, and continuous improvement of the Career Coaching Program.
- Develop systems and communications to effectively recruit, enroll, and manage student and volunteer participation.
- Oversee program logistics, tracking, documentation, and outcomes reporting.
- Partner with Future Link team to plan and execute events to support students and volunteers in their Career Planning efforts.
- Represent the Career Coaching Program participants and advocate for their needs in weekly Student Success Team meetings and other cross-functional initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure program alignment with organizational goals.
2. Corporate Partnership Development and Internship Program Leadership
- Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with corporations for student and organization-wide opportunities.
- Manage relationships with different stakeholder groups to ensure overall program growth including employers, community organizations/nonprofits, educational institutions, program alumni, special interest groups, and industry associations.
- Oversee all operations of the internship program including matching, tracking, and follow-through of internship placements. Manage internship payroll processes.
3. Student and Volunteer Management and Training
- Administer Career Coach training and provide guidance and ongoing volunteer support to ensure successful coaching partnerships with students.
- Manage a cohort of students and Career Coaches through all program phases and communications, from onboarding to completion.
- Oversee program staff to ensure consistency of services and communications with both students and volunteers.
4. Organizational and Strategic Support
- Stay informed on best practices and local workforce and career development trends.
- Serve as a subject expert to the leadership team to yield stronger student outcomes.
- Participate in organization-wide initiatives, events, and special projects.
- Other duties as assigned to support organizational growth and student success.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required in Business Administration, Education, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of increasing responsibility in management, including leadership roles within nonprofit, education, training, and/or workforce development environments.
- Demonstrated success in corporate partnership development, multi-stakeholder program management, and expanding initiatives.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
- Strategic and analytical thinker who can translate vision into actionable plans and measurable results.
- Proficiency in data tracking, evaluation, and outcomes reporting.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity and experience working with underserved and/or first-generation populations.
- Collaborative, relationship-driven approach with a passion for mentoring, coaching, and team development.
