Opportunities to Work One-on-One with Students
- Serve as a Mentor — Minimum one-year commitment. Work as a non-judgmental guide to help empower students with their education and career plans. Training is provided.
- Become a Career Coach — 3-4-month commitment focused on helping a student develop a professional toolbox to assist in Career Preparation. Toolbox items include a professional story, resume, LinkedIn profile, and informational interviews. Training is provided.
- Become a Career Guide — 4-5-month commitment to help a student explore and identify a suitable career path. Training is provided.
- Host an Intern at your company — Minimum 8-week opportunity. Contribute to a young adult’s career development.
- Conduct an informational interview to provide current information about your career field (single, finite event).
- Tutor a student – Select from the list of academic classes and/or personal finances/budgeting.

I understand that mentors must be 30+ years of age, live or work in the DC metropolitan area, have at least five years of work experience in their career field, and commit to a minimum one-year mentoring relationship. Future Link expects most meetings with your mentee will occur weekly and in-person.
