Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich praised our role in supporting first generation-to-college students in their pathway to a successful career.
Council Vice-President Sidney Katz declared November 13, 2019 to be “Future Link Day” in the Third District of Montgomery County. Future Link Advisory Board Member and Councilmember Craig Rice spoke about his long history with the organization and its tremendous growth and impact since inception in 2008. Our History
Future Link was incorporated in May 2008 to fill the gap in services for youth who struggle to make the critical transition from high school to self-sufficiency. Since then, Future Link’s program has evolved in services offered, numbers served, and impact to meet the demands of our program participants.
In May 2018, Future Link celebrated our 10th Anniversary commemorated by 400 attendees, including politicians, mentors, program alumni, and supporters. At the event, the County Executive awarded a Proclamation to Future Link for outstanding service to the county’s youth.
Throughout the years, Future Link has been recognized by the County Executive, County Council, Collaboration Council, Montgomery County Delegation, and the Citizens Advisory Board for our impactful work with young adults in Montgomery County.
The Future Link Difference
“My mentor Kaitlin helps me stay on track in my courses, and provides me with helpful advice regarding employment, health and fitness, and personal goals. She also helps me establish a detailed timeline to achieve a healthy work-life balance that will help me throughout the years of my college and receiving my degree.” —Taylor D., Nursing Major
